Packaging
Per the Better Health Channel, double-wrap in 200-micron plastic, seal the joints and label it: “Caution asbestos. Do not open or damage bag. Do not inhale dust.”

Before any transport or drop-off
Contact the facility to confirm acceptance, booking requirements and how to present the load. A listing does not guarantee the gate will accept a particular delivery. Keep packaged material sealed and do not try to compact it to reduce a fee.
Licensed removalists record disposal in EPA's Waste Tracker. Ask for that record so you can see where the waste went. Removal, wrapping and transport are separate work from the landfill gate charge.
Where clearance is required, an independent competent person issues the certificate before reoccupation. On domestic jobs the licence holder arranges it, and independent clearance is included in our removal quotes.
